N-Acetyl Semax Amidate (Ac-Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro-NH₂) is a stabilized heptapeptide derived from the ACTH(4-7) fragment with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension, N-terminal acetylation, and C-terminal amidation that protect against leucine aminopeptidase and carboxypeptidase degradation, respectively. The modifications are reported to extend plasma half-life by approximately 30 minutes over standard Semax and increase stability in brain tissue.
